September 4, 20232 yr Has anyone been able to get msfs to go HDR using the g9? It is a new monitor to me and I had 55 Sony running hdr no issue. I have updated the monitor firmware and when I check hdr in win 11 all I get it grayed out screen. Tried both hdmi and DP. Edited September 4, 20232 yr by cchiozza Chris Chiozza
September 4, 20232 yr I have a new monitor (38 inch IPS 4k) and HDR works in MSFS as far as I could tell. But I didn't think it offered any advantage compared to the other settings without it. It was just too bright. Given this being an IPS monitor with a host of options, it offers so much brightness and color ranges, I don't think HDR would have any advantage. But if you have an OLED perhaps it does. I think it depends on the situation and monitor type. Edited September 4, 20232 yr by Orlaam ETA: Didn't see the type of monitor was posted. I was under the impression that your HDR selection switch under display setting in window 11 is grayed out and can't be select ON, if you can select it On with no issue and you have grayed out display (washed out), try this tip that might work for you: good luck and best regards.
