Yes. In the Advanced Options section of the tablet.

From the manual: "Failure Rate allows you to adjust the chance of an unexpected failure. Setting this at x100 can make for interesting and unpredictable flights, or in-flight failures can be disabled entirely should you prefer."

Note that I think you can still have things go wrong if you abuse or miss-fly the plane.

Thanks, I turned off failures and wear and tear.

I plan on skipping the walkaround to save time, hope that doesn't trip me up?

BTW, I never do a walkaround for my PMDG 737 either!

Hmm, but is that not half the reason for having an Accusim aircraft?

If you spawn in a new livery cold and dark it will spawn you with chocks and tiedowns.  You may wish to remove them.

Works fine, you can skip all that. It's actually really fast to get it started up and going if you like it that way.

I never do the walk-around, but I do think its a great feature.

This is probably the fastest and easiest plane to start I have ever owned. So starting cold and dark should be a given.

I don't understand why you would want the wear and tear turned off. Its a great way to make sure you are flying correctly and if not, what you are doing wrong.

Plus getting it back to full ok status only takes 2 seconds.

Thanks for all your feeddback.

I really don't like to encounter problems in flight. There is nothing worse when about to land, and get a CTD, or in the case of the Comanche, I am prevented from successfully completing a flight.

I have been flying PMDG 737's, 777's and 747's for years and have never turned on the failure feature in these planes for the same reason.

It should be noted, that I attempt to fly all these A/C realistically. I feel pretty good about my simulator skills (I was a real world pilot, but no longer fly now), as I have been flying for many years in FS9 and earlier sims, plus FSX, P3D, and now MSFS 2020.

I actually rented a Comanche back in 1970 at Gillespie (KSEE) airfield, then flew my sister and her husband to and back from KVAX (Catalina Island).  I rented the Comanche several times later. On one flight, I did experience a circuit breaker issue, when the gear didn't extend. Fortunately, I remembered what the FBO told me after calming down a bit.....pushing the breaker in solved the issue. I am still amazed the folks who rented this particular plane had not fixed this problem?

The beauty of high end payware aircraft, is that they meet the needs of many customers desires, particularly those who like failures and those who don't. The A2A  and PMDG A/C are very "customizable."

This is a great hobby because of this flexibility!!!!
