October 15, 20232 yr Hello, GNTXI TDS I like to setup the flight plan on the desktop version of TDM GTNXi before entering MSFS and loading it for the flight. The problem is I cannot figure out how to change where my plane is from the JFK default airport to the one in my flightplan. When I go into fuel load and time planning, it acts like JFK is where my plane is, so the numbers are completely useless. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
October 16, 20232 yr Author From TDS : KJFK is the default startup location when the TDS GTNXi is not connected to MSFS. At the moment, we do not permit modifying the startup location to a different place. SO that is that. I don't understand why a start up airport is necessary, but there you go. October 16, 20232 yr If the issue is just not being connected to MSFS, can't you launch the sim with your aircraft at the right airport/gate, then do the flight planning in the GTN? I use the PMS50, not the TDS, but regarding a default start location - why do they even need one - it might simply be the way the flight plan programming was set up, needing a default value to initialize the rest of the code. October 16, 20232 yr Author Yes, this is what I do. But it is a big waste of time when all I want to do is get going. They offer the possibility to do it offline. So you can actually set up and test your flight plans before even starting MSFS. Its no big deal, just seems like a wasted feature that could have been useful. The offline version is really just there to help you learn the software without the hassle of MSFS. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
