I'm on ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming with BIOS 4408. Think there are two newer BIOS versions, but I don't like updating it if not necessary.

i would suggest to always be  on the latest bios IMO

Yes I believe so. But I'll test out some stuff.

That doesn't always work in ones favor especially in highly optimized systems. Unless you need a new feature that's in the latest bios version or  a version is guaranteed to improve performance the advice is to sit on your most stable bios and optimize around it.

Just putting it out there In case someone has their previously working Curve Optimized CPU randomly reboot as the AGESA voltages change from one bios revision to the next per AMD guidance. That applies to memory timings as well.

Basically a friendly reminder that bios updates and settings are typically not to be taken lightly. Take from it what you will ...or don't.

Cheers

I have an ASUS motherboard, wonder if it's possible to do the same.

Did you need to update BIOS to enable it on the MSI board?

I see that the latest BIOS updates include a ComboV2PI AGESA version.

I did it Jan when I bought my 5800X3D so you don't need to update your BIOS if you don't want to.

My motherboard is an Asus X570 Prime Pro and the setting is in the "AI Tweaker" menu in:-

Precision Boost Overdrive -> Curve Optimizer
