AIG AI - no traffic at destination

Featured Replies

AIG provide traffic at origin airport and during whole flight, but at destination airport is empty even i land in place where i should have plenty of planes on the ground. I use also AI Companion, but i think it is not a source of described issue.

AIG Manager and flightplans are fully updated to latest revisions.

Anyone have same issue, or have solution ?

Are the majority of your plans BGL or AIGFP. The former are loaded the same as scenery - the latter require AIG Traffic Controller. Is that program running?

Ai Companion is just a window into what Ai you have. At what point do the Ai disappear?

Ray, i believe i have BGL, i do not use AIG Traffic Controller.

Use AI Companion as lets me to limit number of planes not to bring my computer onto knees.

AI do not disappear really, i see planes fly around me and when i land i see no planes at gates, i check traffic and i see some planes 'enroute' but nothing on the ground.

@Beardyman, how long has this problem existed? And if you relocate to various airports around the world do the Ai appear at those? As you only have BGL plans it should be simpler to solve.

Try staying at one airport for a while and see if aircraft land. You can speed up the process by setting Time acceleration in P3D to x4.

And for this exercise don’t limit Ai numbers with AIC.

It happens for all destinations. Today have landed at LFBO - taxi in, let GSX do the job, and waited extra 10 min - nothing

Do u think AIG Traffic Controller might be a solution here ?

How long has this been happening for? AITC will only control flight plans for AIGFP files. If you don’t have any of those files nothing will appear.

Just position your aircraft at another airport and monitor the Ai. Do any takeoff? Is this just a problem with arrivals?

When i start my flight then everything flies, take off and land as should be, only after flight at destination ground is empty. I have fresh install of Win and P3D so issue is rather fresh.

Are you using FSUIPC?  If so, did you enable the traffic "zapper"?

I had this turned on and it was deleting a lot of planes at the gates so that the airports were almost empty.

You can fiddle with the settings, but I just turned it off.

Just saw that you're using GSX.

That application can cause issues, although it may have nothing to do with this.

Try shutting off GSX or uninstalling it and see if that fixes the problem.

I've had AIG crash on me mid-flight many times and did not realise until I was on finals to my destination.

That issue is for several days, and GSX i have just purchased 2 days ago, so surely is not related

I have freeware version, so no such option

Turn off all Ai control in AIC. Try a flight again. Any difference? Just put up with the poor frame rates.

If the problem remains you can exclude AIC. As you only have the freeware FSUIPC that can be excluded too.

What are your Traffic settings in P3D?

That will be AIG TC which is a separate executable. If plans are installed as BGLs they are integral to P3D just like any airport is. Providing the addon is enabled AIG Ai will be visible providing P3D aircraft settings allow them.

@Beardyman, open AI Companion and select BGL Report. That will show the state of your plans. How many entries have a tick in Has Errors?

Next, select Stats. Click Global Stats tab. How many BGL Files are shown?

I am happy to report that issue has been found - AI Companion has option to delete ground traffic when player is above certain flight level. I have marked to delete ground traffic when i am above 10000ft - just to release some load from my system. I thought that AI Companion will re-enable ground traffic when i will be below 10000ft - seems to be not. I have unticked this option and voila ! - all ground traffic at any destination is alive again 🙂
