Hello all! I currently have a 3080 and 10gb of VRAM for WQHD is simply not enough. I know that there are rumors of a 4080S that may come out in Q1 or Q2 of 2024 so Ideally I would want to wait for that. However, if I can sell my 3080 I might be able to get a 4070 or 4070TI for a couple hundred bucks. Do you think a 4070 or 4070TI would be worth it until next summer? 

Would this hassle be worth it for an extra 2gb of VRAM and being able to use FG?

Also, any big performance difference with the 4070 or 4070TI?

FG will double your frames, in my opinion its the greatest piece of tech introduced especially for Flight sims.

I am the type of guy who always complains about every piece of hardware I have ever invested in...until I put my money in the 4090.

Thanks but not really helpful lol...

It depends on which resolution you use,12 GB is not enough with FG in 3440X1440 in my experience, but maybe it is enough at 1080p, but 4070 works fine with DX11.

Well, I also moved from 3080ti to the 4090...but that won't help either.

3440X1440...Really 12gfb is not enough? Well better than my 10gb...Do you use GF with your 4070?

No I don't because 12 GB VRAM is not enough when flying airliners at third party airports, but with GA and smaller airports it works fine.

FPS drops below 30 with horrible stutters as a result, completely unplayable.
