Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Im just checking, have the new Quest 3 and suffering serious "Wobble" effect in the sim, even with the extra plugin of the OpenXR System. I've really tried everything and at a dead end on this:

The only way to solves this, regardless of if my graphic settings are on Low or Ultra, is to turn the Terrain level of details to minimum "10"

System Specs:

         Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) (22621.ni_release.220506-1250)
                 Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
             System Model: H510M H
                     BIOS: F18 (type: UEFI)
                Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900K @ 3.50GHz (16 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
                   Memory: 32768MB RAM
      Available OS Memory: 32562MB RAM
Page File: 13551MB used, 21058MB available
              Windows Dir: C:\Windows
          DirectX Version: DirectX 12
      DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
          DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
                 Miracast: Available, no HDCP
Microsoft Graphics Hybrid: Supported
 DirectX Database Version: 1.4.7
           DxDiag Version: 10.00.22621.0001 64bit Unicode

Many thanks for any help on this.

Tried all that, still exists, even bought a new cable. I have to say the QUEST 3 is just a awful product, compared to the Valve Index, this really is a step backwards.

Hi,

can you say what video card you are using?

do you have oculus tray tool installed? Are you using OpenXR Toolkit? Have you made any other adjustments in the oculus debug tool?

It's possible to have all three running and maybe, unknowingly, they are offsetting each other

Sounds like you are rendering beyond your PC's capability. What Video Card are you running?
