PSXTraffic 4.0.0 SimAddons CYHZ qf 0/0

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I am seeing QF 0/0 for SimAddons CYHZ, even with a large CYHZ.XML in airports\archive\thirdparty\simaddons. Additionally, there is also a CYHZ.XML in airports\updated.

I am running PSXTraffic v4.0.0.

Is there something I've missed on configuring so this data is picked up please?

Thanks,

Richard.

I believe it's showing the QF real as 0 as traffic at YHZ doesn't have ground transponder operations. So even though it has learned who goes in and out of the airport, it's not accurate as to where they park (all SOFT parking assignments).

Thanks. But it is there in archive. To be specific, PSXTraffic\airports\archive\thirdparty\SimAddons\CYHZ.XML exists.

Its also in the local "PSXTraffic\airports\updated\CYHZ.XML" with plenty of data.

Hence, I am confused how it ends up at QF 0/0 with no static aircraft.

No, not in the today released 4.0.0

I think that's remnants from an old install that wasn't cleaned up during an upgrade. The contents of the file are encrypted (which was an experiment in the past), and CHYZ file hasn't been touched since June. Therefore, it's not being bundled with the latest PSXT build.

So while the file exists, PSXT isn't reading it.

Just my opinion, but you would be best off uninstalling PSXT and removing the leftover folder and it's contents then install PSXT again. Start fresh.

That's strange. Over here in my folder it does not exist. The Inno Setup uninstaller removes all previously installed files unless you have touched it....

The files in the archive are meant to be read only. The files in learned are for you.

I will see if I can install them readonly.

But I was supposed to take a break 😉

To be faiiir… I personally wasn’t asking for favors, just suggesting why rpvirtual is seeing what they’re seeing, and sharing a repro 😛

No, I've not touched any files in archive.

I am seeing the exact same date/time stamp on CYHZ in the archive as AeroMaster12.

I have a similar feeling …

Here’s what my airports structure looks like:

airports
-archive
—simaddon
—stock
—thirdparty
-archive_psxt
—thirdparty
-learned
—simaddon
—stock
—thirdparty
-my_simaddon
-my_thirdparty
-snapshots

Obviously, both thirdparty dirs contain lots of subdirs.

@kiek should I simply uninstall everything and re-install 4.0.0?

No, you only better remove archive_psxt plus subfolders, although if you leave them in it would not do any harm, PSXTraffic is not using archive_psxt.

well then remove the airports\archive with subfolders and do a new install of 4.0

Thanks. Done. OK, so that now causes PSXTraffic to flag two airports in the TBLO folder (correctly), including CYHZ. I don't think it was doing that whilst the old files were in the archive directory tree.
