Im getting Starlink soon, so seeing that others use it for exactly what Im going to use it for is excellent! I was in range of a 4G transmitter, but that also was bad, going for 50mpbs at some points, but mostly less than 5mpbs during peak times, and some struggle due to terrain between the antenna and the transmitter... Just did a test with the result below. Speed varies all the time as satelites cross the sky. On 4G I used to download files on steam at 5Mbps, but I often see 130 on Starlink! December 30, 20232 yr I was on a 40mb connection until a couple months ago, and it was Centurylink which meant my real world speeds were closer to 20. I would occasionally get low bandwidth errors, but that was generally when Centurylink decided to suck even more than usual and slow me below 10. The main advantage to the switch to 400mb, other than connection stability because I left Centurylink, has been downloading sim updates. It goes a lot faster, provided I'm not downloading it with everyone else right after it's released. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
