Launch of MSFS and return to desktop

Featured Replies

Hello,

since that day, I launch MSFS, I choose the plane and the location (airport + departure point) the loading progresses and return to the desktop.

I have :

  • 1/ emptied the Community,
  • 2/ updated the Nvidia driver (546.17)

In the exe.xml, I only have:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>FenixA320</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>C:\Program Files\FenixSim A320\deps\FenixBootstrapper.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

If I run MSFS in SAFE mode, it works.
If I launch in NORMAL mode, return to desktop.

Could you please help me ?

NB : MSFS produced a file "MSFSReport-Crash.txt", I can put it online.

Normally if you uninstall Fenix it should clear the EXE.XML file. "Perhaps" you just deleted from Community? Anyhow it should read like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>

</SimBase.Document>

There are a few choices,

1) Delete the EXE>XML file, it will be re-created without any other entries.

2) Start the sim in Safe mode and choose a default airplane, close and you might be good to go again.

What is happening here in normal mode is looking for the FENIX320 as a start, I would go for the 1st option.

Thank you for your opinion, I will try

Config : AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3DMSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E - RAM G.Skill 2 x 32 Go DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 - MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G VENTUS 3X OC PLUS - 2 WQHD (2560x1440) screens and only one of which is for MSFS

A clean reinstallation of the graphics card driver helped me.

Unfortunately, SU13 has introduced pretty regular CTDs on the world map page and loading screens (edit: for many, not all). You can add your vote / experience to this thread in the official forums:
