The Real Story Of Dorothy And The Wizard Of Oz

Oz was written in 1900. During the same time, William Jennings Bryan was the Democratic Party nominee for President 3 times (1896, 1900, and 1908). His slogan was to stop "Crucifying the economy on a cross of gold".

L. Frank Baum was a guy who grew up in a country estate that has a yellow brick walkway to an old fashioned shrub maze. He was bright but sickly as a child with a vivid imagination.

He married a wealthy woman but they decided to live modestly and operate a small retail store in rural South Dakota. He like to entertain customer's children with gentle far fetched made up stories. He published one (Oz) and it was a big success.

These are the Munchkins in the show being interviewed. They all loved working on that movie, and hoped that in the future more dwarfs could be hired to appear in movies.
