"Ghost" airport layout on top of addon?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I am using JouJou92's excellent GMME and GMMH freeware sceneries. However, both of them are now displaying a strange issue - both of them show a sort of "ghost" two-runway airport layout with taxiways and aprons:

GMMH

GMME

The "ghost" layout has nothing to do with either airport (number of runways, orientation, layout, etc) and is exactly the same on both sceneries. And it's even stranger that I've had and used GMME for months and everything was normal until yesterday.

Anyone has any idea on what causes this and how to fix it?

Cheers

It might be the loading order.  Are they both in the community folder?  If so, try putting a Z- in front of the folder name, and this will force them to load last and be on top. For instance, Z-Rabat.

Unfortunately you will have to quit the sim and then go back in after renaming them.

It is worth a try as, the update might have changed the MSFS database file that sets the load order.  They do look very nice on FS.to.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

You were spot on, it worked and now they are showing correctly, thank you very much.

They look great on the sim too, this developer is doing a great job with Morocco.

Cheers
