Seeing double

What's better to look at than a Spitfire?

Two Spitfires of course!

Hi JanKees, looking at the photos the sqaudron code (DW) is shown under the cockpit so the front of the aircraft. It's caught me out a few times painting the Spit.

Disregard JanKees,

Looking at my other repaints and photo's on the net, it seems that different squadrons had different "rules" as far as squadron codes were concerned. Just about any combination that you can think of were applied.

sometimes even within squadrons, the codes were applied differently.

Look at these two from No.222 squadron:

ZD-E and B-ZD on the other side. OK, these are my paints, but that is what they looked like, and still, or once again, do, as both are still airworthy and flying in the UK.
