Engine sound

Featured Replies

engine sounds definitely need work but i can't see how it sounds like a prop jet lol.

Sitting idle on the tarmac it sounds like a prop plane. It starts to sound like a jet when going full throttle at takeoff, but still has that prop sound to it.

There is a definite 'phase' issue going on too. Usually happens when the exact same recorded sample is used for 2 engines. When they both are the same volume they produce a weird stereo phase effect that obviously isn't realistic. The way to avoid this is to use 2 separate sound files for each engine or the same file with tiny eq changes. If both engines use the exact same file on pc instead of separate files then phasing is inevitable when engines are same spool rate.
