January 15, 20242 yr Jeez, how they bored us all silly at school with Shakespeare, Shakespeare, Shakespeare.....😪. The only thing that ever brought him alive to us was being taken to a performance of Julius Caesar where the cast wore modern military uniform. Then it all made sense. Later on as a student I discovered Chaucer; a guy who's humour and compassion stretches out across the ages but we were denied him as school children 'cause....Shakespeare.....😴
