January 22, 20242 yr Hi, I didn't like the lighting in XP12 so I created my own edits that remove this issue and a few others as well. This is what the latest release looks like, with a link in the youtube description for download. January 22, 20242 yr The brute force method is editing lights.txt in "Resources/bitmaps/world/lites/lights.txt". The soft version is ditching the autobahn/motor-/highway lighting altogether via library override: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/85282-highwaymotorwayautobahn-light-removal-library-for-x-plane-12/ 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
January 22, 20242 yr There is a lightsprite tweak which imrpoves halos with a simple texture replacement For some reason the default "1000_lights_close.png" texture is horribly oversaturated and Laminar never fixes it https://x-plane.to/file/38/x-plane-12-light-sprite-tweak Edited January 22, 20242 yr by The Seawolf
January 23, 20242 yr Disregard, wrong file. That's what happens when one has multiple conversations on multipole platforms, this can be deleted. January 24, 20242 yr I had lost that tweak and the lighting had changed in XP12 but not in some areas. That single texture file did the trick. Very acceptable result and no issues with it in XP12. Appreciated The SeaWolf.
