WU16 Tour!

Recommended Posts

Hey all!

Would anyone be interested in doing a WU16 Tour? We could fly GA aircrafts and enjoy the beautiful views of the Caribbean. Oh, maybe we wait to see if the water masks are going to be fixed 🙂

That's a fantastic idea, that's going to be a stretch in some GA aircraft though. Some of those legs are pretty long.

Looks like Bonanza G36 could do it. We could also maybe use the Kodiak for those of us who has it. Maybe some turbo props as well?

I would think MDPP-TFFS would be a long flight in the Bo, especially given that you’ll be flying into the tradewinds. Plus there’s a ton of great stuff to see in the other islands. Maybe MDPP-isla Grande in PR, then over to TQPF (you’ll see Sandy Island POI on the approach and then down?

When Asobo get's the scenery fixed.🙁  If you cut out everything north of PR it could be interesting.

Joined a streamer last night with 100s of people and it took 3 hours with some simrate increase over the sea and some sightseeing to do MDPP-TJIG-TIST-TNCM-TNCS-TKPK-TAPA-TFFS, had to stop in TFFS, we didn’t manage to complete the whole tour down south to TTCP but it was very fun!

Out of curiosity, what unit for QNH do they use in the Caribbean. Same as US?

Stop at TJBQ (it's at the northwest corner of Puerto Rico, right on the coast) to refuel.  It's not an enhanced airport though.  However, there is payware for it.

Or you could stop at San Juan PR.
