January 31, 20242 yr Shalom and greetings all my pals, A local Caribbean airline called LIAT has closed its doors after about 60 years of operations and just finished the last flight few days ago. In honor of memory of LIAT airline, I am presenting one of historic routes of LIAT airline that was flown in yer 1973-1974 when LIAT had four BAC 1-11 jets. Here is a fun tropical flight from TBPB Grantley Adams International Airport located in Seawell, Christ Church about 8.0 miles from the centre of Barbados' capital city Bridgetown to TJSJ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport located in Carolina, Puerto Rico three miles southeast of San Juan. Passengers boarding the plane Nice tail and well polished engines Starting engines!! Turning front wheels to left toward taxiway to taxi to short of runway 09 Long long taxiing to short of runway 09 Holding short of runway 09 awaiting for clearance for take off Airborne on climb to FL250 Making left turn with nice background view of Barbados to head to northern Caribbean Crossing island of Barbados to head north Leaving island of Barbados Now cruising at FL250 at mach 0.73 which was standard cruising speed and altitude for BAC-111 Passing background view of island of Saint Lucia Approaching island of Martinique Cruising across lushful green of island of Martinique Because of regulations of the forums not allowing more than 20 screenshots per post, please be kind enough to go to this hyperlink to view rest of the exciting flight.
