February 12, 20242 yr I'd like to create a spoken command to turn on the Flashlight in MSFS. I tried Voxkey, but the combination keys <ALT><L> do not appear to work. I cannot get the <ALT> to appear in the command when I press the alt key. So, I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to add this spoken command (if it is possible). PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

If you mean "strobe lights" use commands "strobe lights on", "strobe light off" and they will be accurately switched (not just toggled) as FO will read the switch state first. If it's another light or the plane isn't fully supported yet, let me know which plane it is and explain which light we are talking about. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

Thanks Gerald, no I mean the flash light...like a light on the top of your head, which when turned on, shines on the panel or overhead so you can see at night. Something like this: Some of the plane panels are very dark at night. While you can turn on the panel lights, you first have to find the switch in the dark... Anyway, in MSFS you press the ALT+L keys to turn it on. Then, as you move your head around the 'flashlight' follows your head movement. Using Voxkey, I'm not able to add the <ALT> key. I can enter the <CNTRL> key or <SHIFT> key, etc., but when I press the ALT key, it does not show up... If I'm not mistaken a long time ago we decided not to accept <ALT> key as it would trigger the main menu in Prepar3D or FSX. Maybe time to update Voxkey. If not possible, I can assign a yoke button to it... PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

Why don't you just change the keyboard command for the flashlight to something without ALT and then use that for your Voxkey command for the time being? Apart from that I would also appreciate if we could use ALT in Voxkey.
