G3X Touch in SU15 beta

Recommended Posts

I do not know how many have tried this gauge yet, but I now have it working in my RV14A and it is really nice!

After watching a video of an RV14A owner demonstrate how he uses it in flight, I was able to repeat every step, including clicking on the target altitude and keying in the value (same with heading)..  Super convenient!  It is still in beta and the communication with the GNS530 is a bit hit and miss for now, but it is actively being worked on, so fingers crossed for a stable release when SU15 goes live!

By the way, which are the default aircraft actually equipped with the G3X in the sim?. I probably don't have them installed. I'm not in the Beta, just asking.

Cheers, Ed

I knew I could count on you to raise the profile of the fantastic new G3X touch, Bert 😉

I too have been flying the wings off the RV-14, with the G3X transplanted in.  And yes, all those touch settings of altitude, QNH, etc are really nifty eh?

Did you know that the integrated autopilot panel in the G3X is available?   Many thought it was not, as the 'autopilot' screen is greyed out.  But the AP controls are in the menu under 'Flight Controls'.

I'm desperate to get the G3X working in the Orbx Blackwing - and I have. Except that for some reason, in the Blackwing, the screens are extremely dim (unreadable).  Still trying to figure out why that is.  Some sort of glassy texture over the top, I'd guess.

I'm impatient to get the new G3X working in all the planes I have that use the poor old one (Blackwing, Bristell B23, Deejing RV-7A, various Kitfoxes, SWS RV-10 ; I own the marketplace version of that one, so encrypted).

I also have the new G3X working flawlessly in the Lightsim TL Ultralight STREAM aircraft too, using the NXCub's panel.xml with amended RPM values for the Rotax engine.

I'm reading that the G3X will make so many GA aircraft much better now because so many people were saying there were some GA aircraft they weren't flying, mostly because the older G3X was just really bad and detracted from the overall experience of flying that aircraft, but would consider flying the same aircraft with this new Working Title G3X.

What a stellar job that Working Title did, this updated G3X was badly needed!
