February 22, 20242 yr This looks like an overhyped promotion with worrying implications. I have never found the NCP to be slow in any way. He must have a problem with his system. The presentation of the current NCP is perfectly logical and useable. I am not impressed by most new software interfaces, designed by kids to appeal to kids. They rarely function any better than older interfaces. I have never found any need or use for G Force Experience and there used to be regular reports on Avsim about it causing problems for some users. I have never had to log in to use the NCP or to get new drivers from Nvidia. He seems to be quoting problems that don't exist. I have a feeling that we may be about to lose the ability to pick and choose which drivers we can use and being able to download them without G Force Experience being imposed on us. And of course, the possibility of enforced updates. John B
February 23, 20242 yr I gave the new APP a try... back to NCP + NPI after a couple hours of testing. I've also read a few reviews, watched some YouTubes, and decided many of those folks simply have not tried to use the APP much! It's as dumbed down as an early Beta can be!! I believe what Nvidia (and some reviewers) are hyping is the fact that it doesn't require a log-in like GFE. That's nice but the App is still collecting telemetry. And I don't need to deal with telemetry just to set some registry flags for my GPU drivers. Don't know about the new App being faster than NCP... on my system they are both fast. One thing the App has over NCP is looks. It is indeed purtier than NCP. 😁
