February 29, 20242 yr What's your IPD and which percentage does it correspond to, for the World scale ? I'm at 105% as well if I remember correctly, because this corresponds to my IPD of 63mm.

It must correspond to normal view and proportions. 115% is very ok, 105 is too small for me. Of course I understand your remark regarding the importance of pancake lenses, but what you say is about the "hardware" IPD. I'm referring to the "software" IPD. In the past, I thought both were automatically linked, but in fact sometimes they are not. It's important to ensure the "software" IPD (the actual distance between the left and right cameras in game) is corresponding to your actual physical IPD, else you'll get wrong perception of distances and sizes. In my Pico4 my IPD was set correctly, but this was not enough. It was only after reading a topic here (or on flightsimulator.com I don't remember) that I understood there was also a software IPD to adjust. In MSFS, this corresponds to the World Scale setting. EDIT: or maybe I did it with the OpenXR toolkit... argh, I can't remember for sure right now, sorry 😞 Edited February 29, 20242 yr by Daube
March 2, 20242 yr In an earlier reply I have stated that I had set my world scale to 105%. This was a mistake. In a recent session in MSFS, I checked my settings again, and realized my world scale is still set at 100%. It's weird though, because I remember setting a "scale" setting somewhere, where there was also an indication in millimeters. Could it be the OpenXR toolkit maybe ? I have to remember how to make it appear 😄 Anyways, apologies for the confusion.
March 5, 20242 yr Author OpenXR Toolkit default activation command is <Ctrl>-<F2>. OpenXR Toolkit reads and shows the adjusted IPD from my Reverb G2. The right way to adjust the world scale (assumption: scale do not vary from plane to plane) is to adjust VR headset IPD and then simulator program adjusts the camera separation to same as the hardware IPD. Unfortunately, this does not work.
