February 28, 20242 yr Hi all, want to post this here as the last for a few days because it's interesting handling the new sims. The developers calculate the new physical based light from real world data but it's always a bit overdone in the sims, I can hardly handle it. Same in MSFS. So in XP12 my screen setup is a bit dark all the time because otherwise the sun is really annoying. And, honestly, I've done a little correction of the brightness in these shots afterwards which I normally never do, it was too dark. I think they will adjust this on the long run to something which fits better for the sims. Okay, here I have a little flight from EDDM to EDDF and I inserted a few legs in the beginning to have a short view on Munich. Scenery is Ortho4XP tiles on the ground downloaded from Bing (only for own personal use, not to distribute in any way) and everything on top is provided by Simheaven overlay. The plane is the famous and successful Zibo B737-800 freeware which now is perfectly updated for XP12, fortunately. Here you can see the stock airport for EDDM which comes from the XP scenery gateway. These airports are constantly upgraded by the community, everone can do it using WED, the free design tool. The only rule is that only default objects maybe used to ensure that everybody can load it without installing addtional libs. Good solution... Here you can see the lake "Starnberger See" in the south of Munich and the Alps beginning in the background. This shot in the east of Munich shows the accurate road network provided by Simheaven. Downtown Munich, very accurate again. On the left center the 1972 Olympic Center featuring a big socker stadium. And here the extended park area "Englischer Garten and Hirschau" which is wonderful to walk and visit the "Biergarten". And they really do it a lot there... Above my homearea, some miles north of Munich and a bit in the country. The regional capitol of Ingolstadt and the big Audi headquarter and plant in the background. The inner circle of the town is closed for traffic. And the next regional center Nürnberg some 80 km north. And here the next airport from the gateway which is EDDN Nürnberg. There is nice landscape in between Nürnberg and Frankfurt. Is that the airport? The plane with all the high tech stuff says: "Yes, don't worry, I'am going to land now!" Yes, looks good, like EDDF. The highway A3 passing the airport. The runway is a bit weird in the beginning here, best to touch down behind the papi lights. Is the same in XP11. And it worked... Find a place somewhere, I didn't contact the ATC of course...I have to do better in the future.. There is a lot of AI and static aircraft today in XP everywhere featuring nice modells and paints. And also free plugins for airport vehicles and so... Thank you very much for viewing! February 29, 20242 yr Very nice scenery trip from your area in Bayern and land in Frankfurt airport EDDF. About 10 years ago I drove from Muenchen to Garmisch-Partenkirchen passing the Starnberger See.
