Hi,

So I'm returning to the flight sim world after a long time. everything was fantastic, even bought a new pc and monitor to cope with the graphics. That was until yesterday ? aircraft cut power going down the runway ? aircraft crashing into the sea and buildings when the A1 flight assistance was used  ,then the flight assistance icon just disappears.  i spent 3/4 days adding new aircraft and liveries I had bought ,and with a heavy heart I decided to un install and try again.

I don't understand why aircraft from Cessna right through to say a f18 just lose power ?  on a flight plan the aircraft were acting erratically and flapping up and down and the power meter was going mad ?

So anyway I powered up today after a install ,first flight  and it just stops and MSFs disappears.  i load up again and discover my joystick and throttle aren't even recognized ? what ever has happened to this once great simulator ???

So I guess the first issue is the controls  T Flight hotas one is what i am using and i have not touched a single setting? can anybody help please ...........desperately please...

kind regards

Mark.

Check every controller listed in the controls dialogue for unwanted assignments--this sounds like you may have a "phantom" axis assignment, where a hardware axis is unintentionally assigned.  When that happens you can get spurious control inputs when the axis value changes.  It's common for devices like rudder pedals and game controllers to have their axes auto-assigned where they are not wanted.

Another possibility is a weak or failing USB port--if your controllers disappear and aren't listed in Windows Control Panel -> Devices and Printers, try unplugging them and plugging them in again.  If they continue to pull a disappearing act, removing the USB drivers and the device in Control Panel, followed by rebooting and reinstalling the drivers when Windows recognizes the "new" (previously removed) device would be my next step.  And if you're running through an unpowered hub, often those don't provide enough power to keep multiple devices reliably powered, so a powered hub or direct connection to the PC would be preferable.
