Youtube anti commercial hack.

I use Youtube premium, which allows me to watch videos commercial-free (without the need to use any tools), download them on my smartphone and listen to the audio while the screen is turned off.

I also pay Premium, but because of YouTube Music. That way, I can keep music in my phone to play when I'm walking or driving. No ads in YT make it a nice perk for me.

I just VPN'ed to Ukraine to set up premium, paying a fraction of local cost and that's still going today + SponsorBlock extension on Desktop. No ads and premium features on my phone, tablet or desktop for what could barely buy a coffee.

When that first commercial comes on before your requested video, hit the F5 key. Computer only.  Mobile devices require an adblocker or something like that.  See if that works for you.

Using Firefox browder. F5 changes the commercial to another one. I can keep pushing F5 to find a shorter or more interesting commercial.

I like my original way better. I just hold down the = key and the speed meter zooms up to about 8.0 while the add is playing. And then zoom the speed back down to 1.0 with - key when the video is about to start.

I use Chrome Google or Microsoft Edge.  It works great for me.  Whatever works!

Chrome: Because Google owns both Chrome and Youtube, they can and do disable any Chrome browser extension which costs Google money on Youtube. At least that's what happened to me, and so I switched to Firefox. The Legibility extension (text size on the fly slider) available only on Firefox is why I chose that over Edge.

And this is how, in the long run, vendors stop offering regional pricing. Already happened with MSFS Marketplace and then Steam down here ☹️
