The Tweet was made for v4 (PBR). If it wasn't well spent because LM decided to release v5 a couple of months later, I cannot make you happy. I would love to know how much value you'd get and how much feedbsck you'd give the producer if you spent that money on cinema tickets compared to the Tweet, though.

For some perspective, the Tweet took five people two years to make and grossed less than 20k over a year. A great technical, but bad financial investment. When P3D was out it was so heavy that we couldn't run it to develop well enough and, apparently, upgrading was outbof the question. Furthermore, the MSFS announcement that spring drove all P3D sales to ZERO. That was a rude awakening that we can either be a business or we can be customers -and demand that all products are updated for free.

If a product can be compatible with no additional work, then it will be offered as a free update. But if we have to modify it for the new platform to work right then it will be charged. That is common sense and standard practice across every industry except this one.

Now, if some of you guys opened this discussion just to bash SWS or bring out a grudge of voting age, don't buy from us again. You are the customer no-one wants, the "always right" type. Entitled, rude and asking from a $30 product for a home game to do the same as a $4,000,000 simulator, while having 24/7 support -yes, we have been told we should work weekends and 24h just because we are an "internet business".

It is the fault of most of us developers for creating that expectation and spoiling you. We are passionate about what we do, work 20h days and love getting in touch with the community any time, any day. But it is unfortunate that this passion creates entitlement and in the end we are the ones feeding the monster.

Long story short, we are a business, we invest time and money in what we do and try our best to do it right and in a profitable manner. If you want to help us or express discontent that is within our job description to accommodate. If you just want to bash us for not freely upgrading for P3Dv8 or express your inner Doug Masters, then we don't care.

That said, I'm out of here for good. I appreciate the opinions of some people on this topic that tried to view things from a broader perspective. Om our side we will keep trying for the better.
