May 16, 20242 yr A slight digression if I may .. but is related Orbx news... John Dow replied in the YMML Orbx thread that this airport is developed for X-plane and once complete they will move on to P3D. He reckons it will be "reasonably fast" to bring the P3D version to market based on what they have developed for X-Plane. He did mention that it is likely a new build of the YMML scenery and not an enhancement of the V2 version. I looked at all these screenshots from @G-RFRY and it is a beautyful scenery in case of MK LEPA and not the effect of v6. I think my AS clouds are even nicer than the native P3D6 clouds. I think i see a slight reddish tone in these v6 screenies, which i like a lot, but that's something maybe achieved with a shader tuning or it's just the scenery. @G-RFRY you mentioned faster loading of v6 somewhere i believe. Can be the effect of a new sim or just less add-on.xml entries and more scenery.cfg instead. I moved a lot from scenery.cfg to add-on.xml two years ago and then after two years of slow starts I moved them back again with noticeable effect in loading times. That may be different in v6 however, for v5 it makes starting the sim much faster. I wished v6 was a real win for the community but I still don't see anything better than v5. May 16, 20242 yr Author It also shows how little work would be needed by ORBX and others to make their scenery compatible with V6. V6 has its own shader settings that you can adjust without the need of third party shaders. https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/53725739023/in/dateposted-public https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/53725871839/in/dateposted-public https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/53724623277/in/dateposted-public https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/53725739293/in/dateposted-public https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/53725871259/in/dateposted-public AS Airports in V6. Runways, aprons and gates are in the right place, textures are OK but the buildings I find are a bit anaemic. I thought SFO had those green apron surrounds in the lead in to the International terminal but they are not modelled. Are the gates number correctly in v6? It`s not default KSFO If you go into V6 and look If have it, but I will take a closer look at Flightbeam KSFO. The screenshots don`t always show the true colours you see in the sim.
