Skyward Simulations DA-50RG released!

Recommended Posts

I'm struggling with one thing I think and maybe it's my misunderstanding of the DA-50. The reverse thrust I've noticed on flare initiates when I flare and go to flight idle. I'm aware the ground idle function is simulated with reverse thrust, but I keep finding myself accidentally engaging the reverse thrust in the flare since I can't gauge where that detent is other than the sounds. Anyone else have thoughts on that?

Suppose to be turbocharged continental CD-300 equipped with FADEC where power lever has  flight idle and ground idle detents.

It doesn’t that I know of but I think they’re using it to simulate ground idle conditions. It’s weird

From what I gather you when you touch down power lever should be at flight idle. Ground idle only for taxi.

Yeah, for some reason mine goes all the way back to ground idle even when in flight. It should stop… not sure how to adjust this.

From the outside maybe. The view from the inside is severely hampered by the pillar. A very odd design choice.

Yea its awful, I guess its a great IFR training platform but that view!

Imagine looking for traffic in the circuit

I ended picking this up (once I saw Tim was making a paint haha).  It's got Boris sounds and it's just a nice little plane.  It's not the finest quality ever but looking at the price it's cheaper than a Carenado and just as good
