May 11, 20242 yr Hi all, I'm a user of AAO from a couple of years, I used it with great satisfaction on my MSFS 2020 especially for the PMDG B737 NG configuraton on a Windows 10 installation. Yesterday, I did a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro and MSFS2020. All is working well, but when I launch AAO (just reinstalled 4.10 b51), it doesn't start. Looking in the event viewer, I found this: System - Provider [ Name] Application Error [ Guid] {a0e9b465-b939-57d7-b27d-95d8e925ff57} EventID 1000 Version 0 Level 2 Task 100 Opcode 0 Keywords 0x8000000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2024-05-11T14:14:20.1975891Z EventRecordID 759 Correlation - Execution [ ProcessID] 3752 [ ThreadID] 10532 Channel Application Computer PC-Mauro - Security [ UserID] S-1-5-21-3097021756-1568954496-1091913447-1001 - EventData AppName LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS.exe AppVersion 4.10.51.0 AppTimeStamp 65ac0a23 ModuleName KERNELBASE.dll ModuleVersion 10.0.22621.3447 ModuleTimeStamp 3d876852 ExceptionCode c000041d FaultingOffset 00000000000653ac ProcessId 0x23f0 ProcessCreationTime 0x1daa3ad82576cdc AppPath C:\Program Files\LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS\LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS.exe ModulePath C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll IntegratorReportId dd4be087-d444-43cd-b975-deeb55286f11 PackageFullName PackageRelativeAppId I already tried with the sfc /scannow command (to check a problem with the dll), but it says its all ok. Have you any suggestion? Thank you. Mauro

Please check the Windows Event logs if there is another message that contains a .Net stack trace. Generic advice: Delete the folder C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\LWR Install the latest version of the VCRedist Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn Make sure that .Net 4.8 is present. Normally it is installed as a part of Windows 11. Edited May 11, 20242 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
May 11, 20242 yr Author #RichieFly Hi, yes I do, I just installed AAO on a second PC with another fresh Win11 installation and I got the same error. In case I runned it a first time without admin privileges, what can happen? Have I to delete some register key or something? Mauro Edited May 11, 20242 yr by zetato

I am running AAO on three different PCs and a laptop, all with Windows 11. I never had the slighest problem with that. Could it be an AntiVirus / Windows Defender problem? Admin privileges are irrelevant for general operation. They are only required when you want to use the AAO WebAPI (for example to control a StreamDeck) LORBY-SI

I don't have a folder LWR in the AppData\Local, I unistalled Lorby AAO, deleted two folders Lorby Si and another from AppData\Local, now checking register, then I'll restart and retry the installation, maybe disabling Defender. Will let you know. Mauro
May 11, 20242 yr Commercial Member Check the Windows Event logs again. When Windows decides to shut down a process, it usually gives a reason for that. There should be two error messages, one that looks like what you posted above, and another containing a stack trace and exception text. I would need to see the stack trace. A stack trace looks something like this: Quote Anwendung: AaoAdvancedTtsPlugin.exe Frameworkversion: v4.0.30319 Beschreibung: Der Prozess wurde aufgrund einer unbehandelten Ausnahme beendet. Ausnahmeinformationen: System.ArgumentException bei System.IO.Stream.EndRead(System.IAsyncResult) bei System.IO.Pipes.PipeStream.EndRead(System.IAsyncResult) bei AaoAdvancedTtsPlugin.MainWindow.OnDataReceived(System.IAsyncResult) bei System.IO.Pipes.PipeStreamAsyncResult.CallUserCallbackWorker(System.Object) bei System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback.WaitCallback_Context(System.Object) bei System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean) bei System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean) bei System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback.System.Threading.IThreadPoolWorkItem.ExecuteWorkItem() bei System.Threading.ThreadPoolWorkQueue.Dispatch() bei System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback() Edited May 11, 20242 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Something is missing from the .Net/C++ Runtime on your computer(s). "FileNotFound" in this state usually means a missing DLL. Did you install the latest VCRedist that I linked above (2015...2022)? Make sure to install both the x86 and the x64 variant. Edited May 11, 20242 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

This did the trick! Sorry, I installed the X86 version only... The x64 has solved! Thank you very much! Mauro
