May 14, 20242 yr As if to prove that reality can be sometimes just as weird as the imaginary world, a couple of nautical miles east from the Illuminati fantasy island, actually Loggerhead Key, is Fort Jefferson, on Garden Key. According to Wiki this is the largest brick masonry structure in the western hemisphere with 16 million bricks. All of which would have had to be ferried in by boat, of course. Construction started in 1847 but it was never completed. And personally, I have to ask "what were they thinking?" There's no major anchorage for a fleet of warships, you can't protect much from a fixed location that any approaching enemy can just sail around out of range, and there's not even any natural water on the islands so any permanent occupiers would have to bring their own everything with them. Bragging rights is all I can think of. Anyway, it's another fun environment, and has the advantage that it does actually exist! Apparently you can holiday there, but you still have to take your own everything in with you! This is all default scenery, no free or pay ware in use here, so another little gem in MSFS. With calm weather, this must be a great place to chill out in (assuming you've got all the everythings you need) Just a couple of shots to see how it might feel if the weather turned against you It has been hit by at least two hurricanes in recent years which wouldn't be too much fun. All your everythings might well get blown or washed away! Back to actually flying something next time.
