Landing gear keyboard toggle ?

Recommended Posts

Guest zelmo

Greetings! There's a convenient rocker switch on the Saitek yoke that I'd like to use for "gear." The keyboard shortcut for toggling the gear is "g", but I'd like discreet codes for "gear down" and "gear up."The html help file lists a separate command for "manually extend gear", but I don't know what that means. In another thread, someone suggested downloading a pdf file called fsxkypml.zip, but I can't find it here or in FlightSim files section. If anyone has this and would be willing to PM it to me, I'd appreciate it.Meanwhile, are there separate commands for Up and Down?Thanks,-z-

There are separate commands, but you cannot access them through the Controls settings. The simplest way I know of, is to assign both switch settings to Gear Toggle and then edit the Controls/standard.xml file. 6GEAR_UP7GEAR_DOWNThis is what it should look like... buttons here are 6+1 and 7+1.They start counting buttons with zero..

If you have registered FSUIPC, it will allow you to set it up.

>If you have registered FSUIPC, it will allow you to set it>up.Couldn't agree more, FSUIPC is the only way to go if you really want to get into programming your controls exclusively for FSX.
