V6, Active Sky and the FSW Falcon 50 strange issue.

Featured Replies

I am using Prepar3D V6, Active Sky V6 and, so far, every aircraft I have tried work flowlessly (except for some minor issues with the effects and glass transparency).

The FSW Falcon 50 is different.
When Active Sky is not running, the Falcon flyes as one may expect - PERFECTLY.
But the sim freezes if Active Sky is running 😞

After extensive testing, I was able to track the sim freezes to the first weather update AFTER take off ???
As long as she is on ground (even after "ready for take off") no such issue with the weather updates..

And the FSW MU-02 have no such issue.

Of course, everything is OK with V5.4 and Active Sky V5.

All applications are at the highest published release/version/patch...

I miss my favorite business jet (without weather, it is less fun).

Does any one share this behaviour ?

So NOBODY is using FSW (Flysimware) Falcon 50 with Prepar3D V6 (with or without Active Sky V6) ?

😞

I assume you prefer to fly with live weather.  You might try saving the current weather and using it for your flight. Granted, you won't get any changes to the destination weather during the flight, but at least you won't experience that problem any longer in the Falcon 50.

Spoiler

My specs:  AMD Ryzen 5 5600X @ 3.7 GHz, 32 GB 3200MHz DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 12 GB, 2TB SAMSUNG EVO Plus SSD M2, 2TB WD Black Gaming SSD M2, 8TB WD Black Gaming HDD, 4TB WD Black Gaming Ext HDD, Windows 10, X-Plane 12 + large quantity of 3rd party addons scenery & aircraft. Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Thrustmaster TFRP. It's an older machine but gets the job done quite nicely - smooth with no stutters!

Thanks for the tip. 🙂

Or request wx update as soon as P3D loads your flight plan and before you click START?
