They have a new update availble.

It's enough for me to avoid avsim.

All of a sudden I'm getting ads, videos etc every page I read or forum I peruse. Is this the new normal?

I own a Carenado aircraft, looks nice, no flight model as far as I'm concerned. I had my ticket and worked as a rep for the FAA for years. Sorry, but in my opinion the people I see using MSFS tend to tout it's pretty face, not it's fidelity. Even in this thread the scenery is being presented as a strong point.

I feel turbulence, experience failures, find actual limits to the model. Never had those experiences with any other flight sim unless I introduced them. XP I have no experience with but the others are, to me walking simulators in the air. I never hear of realism, procedures etc with MSFS. Rather how good it looks. Or the bugs. The dash 8 for me, says it all. I found PMDG expensive, very pretty but uninteresting to fly.

I use v6 and it's fine for me. I wanted flight fidelity more than pretty. I never bought into PMDG, too much for an addon to a game. The dash 8 is the most money I dropped and it's a beaut.

Oh, I had originally gotten it for FSX and got it to load in v6. I'm reluctant to spend that much cash for a 'nice' aircraft.

Sadly I only have v 6.1.

I was disappointed that I couldn't get it to function under 6.0. But yes, a nice aircraft.

What colored it for me was the emphasis by the community, the devs etc was ground/outside views, the scenery. Endless pictures of engines, ground, passenger cabin etc. Few of the cockpit unless a bug occurred. No one was touting the flight aspects. I'm thrilled by sounds, burbles in the airflow and especially dealing with issues. Many of my own making. And so I learn things as well.

Topic I work extensively with the unreal engine. Pro: I can mod, map et cetera. Easy to port from one engine to UE. It looks nice. Cons: It is a beast of instability. A line of code can wreck an entire map, reboot a server et cetera. From a dev point of view it is more headache than sticking with legacy code. So to my mind it boils down to this: Is LM looking to expand market share or are they done with selling to the flightsim market?

Score "Possible pilot deviation..." Would be a good mechanic, exceed limits for some duration - deviation.

I was aloft at around 8000 ft when I remembered I hadn't loaded Pilot2ATC. Loaded the program imported my flight plan. ATC came on asking I reduce speed to 250 knots? I hadn't validated nor filed the plan but there she was admonishing me to slow down. I'm assuming this isn't supposed to happen. It's occured maybe three times in the last two months. 0.2.5A

I have traffic at 100% and never saw traffic be deleted. Could it be AIG?

You should bottle your configuration and sell it as a master class.

My guess it's used as a development platform for commercial products. In essence, until they cease using it, it'll be released to the public every iteration. I also think each new version will introduce breaking of existing aircraft, scenery etc. As long as I can get real time weather V6 works for me. Parenthetically - I play an online game that averages 2k players per day, very low. As a result, many people bemon the imminent death of the game. The kicker - it's been running since 2008 and prior to that it was a HL mod. Same numbers have played since day one.

I installed the beta and that works...so far. I still got the existing session message. But what I don't understand is what is the "other device" it refers to? edit For giggles I loaded it again. And now no "other session" message. If I have any hair left, I'll let you know.

Error message System.NullReferenceException Message=Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Source=ASP3DV6 Following the above is a ~ 40 page error message. Everytime I open it I get, "Another session is already running. Do you want to terminate it?" This started two days ago, coinciding with the error message. Answer yes, error message. Answer no, it closes. When I googled the message it suggested reinstalling which I did. I'm at a loss. I have submitted a ticket at hifi.

What's the result if you straight import without conversion?
