I'm a little confused. I see that some people have the TFDI MD11 on P3Dv5.

When I try to buy it, I can only find versions for MSFS2020 or 2024.

What's going on?

My understanding is they are no longer selling the plane for P3d.

Interestingly, the B-717 is available for purchase for P3D and FSX. 🤔

Single purchase no longer buys it for both platforms?

TFDI stopped P3D development few months ago however you can still buy it - single purchase covers all sims. Once you download the MD11 install manager there is option to install onto P3D.

As I understand any new single purchase for MD11 covers all sims. 

Yes, with the same installer you can install it in MSFS(20/24) and P3D if you have it (like me)

Interesting.  I thought I had read that only if you had already purchased the MD-11 you could still install it to P3d.  Apologies for sharing incorrect information in my initial reply.

Not correct. The latest update that will be released today will include a bunch of P3D fixes! However, they are probably after this stopping P3D updates (but they are generally moving on from the MD-11 now onto newer projects). 🙂

I must admit that I don't understand the current situation at the moment. I am using P3D 4.5 with the latest hotfix and would like to purchase the MD-11. An installation file is available on Simmarket. Can I purchase it there and use the MD-11 for P3D 4.5 with this installer? Both versions are available on Simmarket. Please provide information.

I would suggest buying directly from TFDI and asking on their discord/support if it would be possible to also receive the installer for the P3D version. Officially they have discontinued MD11 sales for P3D but they seem to be flexible in this regard.

I've found customer service by TFDi to be excellent. There's nothing to lose by contacting them and asking.

We announced in July of 2025 that we would be suspending sales of the aircraft when the art update came out in January, which was back on January 12th. At this time the aircraft is only available for MSFS 2020 & 2024.
