July 17, 20241 yr What is everyone's thought on visibility. I try to use metar and use accurate weather, but I find 10 mile visibility is more like 3-5 mile visibility, and 20 mile visibility is more like 10 mile. Seems it is a little off? I just compared it to 10 mile visibilty in my city the other day and in fsx it seems way too thick by comparison.

I found that it switches sharply when you change it from 11 to 10. It’s not a mile difference but it halves the visibility. It also depends on the sky you’re using. July 19, 20241 yr Author It would be cool to have that, i used today a 20 mile vis and raised it to 950 feet, it looked about spot on to 10 mile vis. Using the correct cloud type helped too, looked great during the day Edited July 20, 20241 yr by Sweetd31
July 23, 20241 yr I use AS16 together with Active Sky Cloud Art and Envtex and the additional immersion these provide when flying in FSX is amazing! For years I never bothered much with weather addons but I was astounded by the difference these products have made and wouldn't be without them now. Bill
