July 21, 20241 yr I’m curious if the new sim’s tech will produce better looking ortho scenery from above. As in more consistently colored grass, roads, etc with the new tech building up rocks on rocks etc? It would be nice if it could take the streamed grassy fields or roads and color correct them into something consistently colored - for example the area south of Midway in Chicago would go from its greenish cast to “better”, and the occasional sections of more tallish brown textures in the midst of summer would be summer colored. No idea if that’s how the new tech works…but it’d be nice.
July 21, 20241 yr I suppose there is a limit to how far AI can go in doctoring satellite images, but since ASOBO are introducing seasons into the new sim, they must be able to do something with regards to the colours of fields, etc. It is going to be interesting to see how it is all implemented. July 21, 20241 yr I would also welcome better coloured ground textures in MSFS 2024. The ugly green tint to much of the world in MSFS has led me to use the Map Enhancement Tool. Google is mostly much better than default, although it too has awful colouring in many city areas. I use the latest edition of Bing instead of Google and I found it, at least when flying in Continental Europe, a bit better. But I guess it all depends on the specific area where you plan to fly 🙂 Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
