Connection Open failed error

Featured Replies

Hi all-

Using MSFS.

I'm trying to get Pilot2ATC working; I bought it a few years ago but never really used it much. I have no problem starting it up, and have 2.7.02 installed.

When trying to connect to FSUIPC (current), I get the following error and am not sure how to troubleshoot this...

That indicates that P2A can't find FSUIPC.

I would Install FSUIPC-7 again and be sure to check the option to have FSUIPC start MSFS.

Then, be sure you are in the cockpit, ready to fly before trying to connect.

Ok - tried it out, but got the same error.

Figured it out!

Paradoxically, using the FSUIP7 MSFS Launcher successfully launches MSFS... but does not start FSUIPC?

Anyway - I started FSUIPC, then used the FSUIPC desktop launcher for MSFS, and P2A connects successfully now.

By the way - is there a newer setup guide? The one I downloaded is from 5/21/2020 and doesn't match my interface.

TIA
