I would like to create a FP to fly from one POI to another. Do any of the FP programs allow you to do this. Say from their map view?

Try this site for a plethora of flight plans from all over the world. And in answer to your question about planner software, Little Nav Map should do that I believe.

You can load a CSV file into LNM and plan with that, whether you can get a CSV file of the existing MSFS POIs I don't know.
You can create your own MSFS POI's I've done that for glider turnpoints and for WWII airfields.

If you scroll through this category on the .to you will find various LNM POIs for MSFS that you can use to build a flight plan and export it for use in MSFS > https://flightsim.to/others/little-navmap/1

Thanks! I was able to find KLM files from Google Microsoft Map to load into LNM.
