August 9, 20241 yr I would like to use the Elevator Trim Wheel on the Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle, but it's way too sensitive and difficult to control, at least for me. Does anyone have any idea about how to desensitize it so I can control it and not have a huge overresponse with the slightest touch? Thanks.
August 9, 20241 yr You're planning to use the rotary at the end of the throttle handle, right? If so, it's an axis. You may need to reduce its sensitivity. August 9, 20241 yr Unfortunately, the flight dynamics in ASOBO are quite inaccurate, and this is just one example of the problem. If your airplane has a flight_model.cfg, go to the section [FLIGHT_TUNING] and modify this entry to a number that will be satisfactory for you, elevator_trim_effectiveness =0.65 /0.75 /0.80 /FROM 1 In general, trim speed will vary with each airplane but not as much as they did it. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
August 9, 20241 yr I'm using TM Airbus stick for elevator trim. Works fine without any tweaking. Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). There's a noticeable delay between activation and indication, and certain aircraft exhibit unrealistic flight dynamics. Any discussion on this matter would be unproductive. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I have Honeycomb Bravo, Alpha, TM Airbus stick and Yoko Yoke. None of them have oversensitive trim issue. So my guess it's hardware specific issue Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F).
