FSiPanel Help

Featured Replies

I am confused with FSiPanel. I have followed the instructions in the manual, and FSiPanel sets up the approach. However, it does not set my plane up on the glidepath with VOR/LOC and G/S engaged (this is for a direct ILS approach). It sets it up in ALTITUDE HOLD mode. What am I doing wrong?? Do I need to input the ILS frequency manually prior to configuring the approach? I had assumed that FSiPanel would do this for me.

ATC is also contacting me, and I would prefer to disable this.

EDIT: Amazing what you can miss when you are not going through each procedure prior to final approach. I need to press the APP button 🤦‍♂️

On a side note, I do not seem to be asked to press and hold the BRAKE for 3 seconds to start the approach. It just sets off on its own, so I do not have much time to think about it. Is that normal?

Well, it worked properly when I tried it again. The only difference is that I set it up after loading FSiPanel from the desktop icon, and this gave me the "press brake for 3 seconds to start the approach" instruction. That did not seem to happen when I used the icon on the Asobo menu bar for the setup procedure 😕

It seems you are new with FSiPanel? For me it is one of greatest apps for the sim. I'm using it quite often with the PMDGs 737 and 777. I recommend to start your approach to any given airport via FIX/STAR/Transition etc. with beforehand planning in Navigraph. With that you can fly a complete STAR procedure. Usually I load my flight on the runway I want later to land on. Then I start FSiPanel. With PMDG you can also load a predefined cockpit regarding fuel, fuel pumps, payload etc. before you start FSiPanel.

Yes, FSiPanel is completely new to me. I do set up the payload and fuel prior to starting FSiPanel, and I am looking forward to simply being able to make approaches and landings at multiple airports....one after the other. Probably an autistic trait, but it floats my boat  I also want to set up special approaches, like the 09 approach at LGSM Samos, or the circle to land 34 approach at LGMK Mykonos.
