September 9, 20241 yr First flight today with the Fenix A319, looks good but I came across an issue with weights. The Simbrief profile I used for flight planning was as provided, I did not change anything other than convert kilograms to pounds. The passenger (PAX) weight is 176 lbs. and I rounded it to 175. Payload is 124 PAX plus 7200 lbs. for cargo. The Empty Weight in the Simbrief is specified as 92396 lbs. Here is the problem/question: Total PAX weight is 124 x 175 = 21700 lbs. The Fenix tablet's Mass & Balance confirmed 124 PAX boarded. Cargo weight is 7200 lbs. The Fenix tablet's Mass & Balance confirmed 7200 lbs. loaded. The A319-CFM Empty Weight is 92396. The expected ZFW of the A/C is 21700 + 7200 + 92396 = 121296 lbs. (+/- a few lbs. per what I have been seeing with the A320). At the conclusion of boarding the Fenix tablet's Mass & Balance reported a ZFW of 118481 lbs. and ZFWCG 31.2. A ~1.5 ton ZFW delta is quite significant. Do I need to update the PAX weight in Simbrief (I don't think this is recommended) ? Is this an error on the Fenix side ? Any insight into this issue is welcome. zachlog

Warthog Stick and TCA Captains throttle ( full pack) Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals , extreme3D for the Tiller,Streamdeck XL x2 / Streamdeck +/Streamdeck mini because i like pressing buttons

September 9, 20241 yr FWIW I do remember ongoing discussions/threads on similar topics on the Fenix discord. Have you tried there. You might get a lot more insight as well as affirmation of acknowledgment of issue by Fenix or no acknowledgment. My guess is the former. That’s all I can offer, -B

I have done quite a few flights with the A320 and the ZFW in the EFB/Mass & Balance was always as expected. Sounds like code that is common to all (3) variants and in my case the problem just happened to surface with the A319. Thanks for letting me know and I will wait for the fix. zachlog
