Greetings all,

Like so many others, I'm considering getting a new rig for MSFS2024 and other sims I enjoy. Here's what I've come up with thus far, would be happy to hear some feedback/opinions:

You should get an X3D processor, not the standard ones.

While the 7950X3D has 16 cores, some are performance and others are efficiency.  It is my understanding that while gaming, it parks or disables half of its cores.  Therefore, with the announcement by Asobo that 2024 will utilize as many cores as possible, you may be better off with the 7900X using 12 cores versus the 7950X3D using only 8 of its cores.

I would wait and get the 9950x3d thats what im doing and i have the 7950x3d now

You all should wait on actual performance reviews post release and see how the hardware is actually utilized instead of guessing. But im sure that's the unpopular opinion at the moment with all the speculation going on.
