September 29, 20241 yr For business, I have to go to New York soon. Sometimes things go right because my meeting hotel is the TWA Hotel (https://www.twahotel.com/) located inside JFK airport. I wanted to have a look, as a virtual tourist, if the iniBuilds MSFS rendition of JFK depicts properly this iconic hotel. Wasn't disappointed although I'll certainly will have a different feedback after leaving it in real in few weeks for the first time. Talking of "real", this MSFS session was also an opportunity to partially recreate what is maybe my unforgettable real flight as a private pilot. The only on-airport hotel, AirTrain-accessible hotel at JFK! I'm really not an aficionados off inside details in MSFS Addons. But this time, I change my mind as acting as a virtual tourist. I'd better not forget my swimming gear, even in October the pool is heated at 95. Pool with a view. Can't wait to see that in real. I also too the opportunity to check where Air France (I'm french) will park and see how close to TWA Hotel is it 😉 Made almost a 360 around Lady Liberty. I didn't do it in my real flight as I flow southbound to Verrazano then northbound toward east river for the over-Central-Park transition 😉 But it was funny to take time to look at the statue with more attention in MSFS than during my real flight. East river with La Guardia ATC. All MSFS default. Crossing Central Park, at 1'500 ft, VFR, no flight plan and my french accent. Turning final 19 at Teterboro.
