It happened to a United Airlines B767 at Zurich Airport after a hard landing.

In a comment the flight attendant on this flight said that it happened because of a mechanical malfunction, the spoilers failed to deploy.

 

 

Bounced landings can be catastrophic in jets if not handled correctly due to spoiler ground logic.

Ive done go arounds in the 737 half way through the flare due to gusts of wind. Extremely rare but it does happen. I’d rather go around at the point when the airplane still has energy instead of not going around and losing all that energy all at one and something bad happening.
