Orbx Update TE Netherlands (do not update)

Featured Replies

Do not install the latest update as it deletes the whole world/scenery folder from P3D (breaking multiple addons such as AIG, etc). I unfortunately did... Since this is quite "game" breaking I thought it should be posted on avsim so more people avoid this update and avoid my situation (haha now I almost want to give up on p3d... so many man-hours wasted just for Orbx to screw things up).

if you though did happen to update here is how you can start the journey to remedy the mess Orbx create (copied from the Orbx forums):

1. Run the repair on the Client to re-instate the scenery folder and core files.

2. Re-Verify ALL your Orbx products.

3. Test every airport you have for elevation errors and log each one.

4. Run the installer for every broken airport to fix the folder back to the way it was. If you have AIG, youll need to place back in the files in that folder and rename the default.

5. If you use the GLOBAL SHIP addon, you need to place it back in.

Hi Blasb

That solution you posted is word for word just like the fix Adam Pestridge gave me earlier today. Just sayin.

Yeah it is a direct copy from the Orbx forum! Could very well be from Adam! 🙂

How about making a backup copy of the world\scenery folder before updating TE Netherlands? Or just wait two days until ORBX fix it.

I don't get a Netherland TE update, only EU Wales and Global openLC North America. Also did not find the issue on the ORBX forum. Have you got a link?
