Hi,

during the last couple of flights I had the problem that the FO keeps on reading back ATC instructions. Even after I "take back" ATC duties, he goes on repeating them for a while. Add that to a congested airspace (Socal), and it leads to him constantly trying to talk to ATC, as he additionally has problems getting through the message. It also means he will say "I'm busy with ATC" (or something to that matter) if I ask him for different ATC task.

This is with P3D V5.4, MCE 3.0.9.8, PF3 3.22.0, and the Aerosoft Airbus Pro.

Any ideas as to what I can try? I checked PF3's Clearance.log, and the instructions the FO repeats are only send once.

Best regards, Dimitrios

I reverted to MCE 3.0.6.0, and in a short test read-backs seemed okay. I will do a complete flight on Sunday and report.

So, no problems with 3.0.6.0. Other than that and the route, it was an identical configuration as the last two flights. Glad to provide you with further information should it be needed.

Thanks for the follow-up. Maybe  a one off incident.

The schedule is currently hectic, with the move to MSFS 2024 which will mean at least 3 or 4 of new Asobo planes will need to be interfaced.

As long as you remain on Prepar3D, maybe best to keep using V3.0.6.0

I'm staying with 3.0.6.0 for the time being, but as I also use FS20, I am wondering what I am missing.

Eight now, you'd be missing on iFly 737 MAC integration in MSFS 2020 as well as the fist steps to integrate MSFS 2024.

I updated today to 3.1.1.8, and the problem I is back. I could stay on 3.0.6.0, except a) FO handling the radio doesn't work half the time (sometimes he doesn't change frequency before contacting, sometimes there is no reaction at all), and I do use FS20, so I do need the functionality of the newer versions...

Get the latest patch (where small changes were made to MCE + PF3 integration) and we'll take it from there

So, first of all, sorry for the delay. Didn't have much time for the sim.

As for the results: 8 times out of 10, the FO kept repeating the read-back, sometimes as long as there was no new transmission from ATC. Frequency changes and contacting the next facility were very reliable, but sometimes I got the impression the FO wasn't doing what he was saying, meaning: He read back, but didn't do the according key-press with PF3.

I assume in "PF3-MCE.ini" you have Enabled=1 (or Active=1", otherwise PF3 won't be updating the log file

Next time this happens, go to \PF3\Logs\ folder and save "clearance.log" and send it to support or post it here

I have the clearance.log from that flight and will send it via email. I can also provide older log files as well, as I always archive them, should you be interested.
