B767-200

Featured Replies

Hi all,

wanted a B767 and so I installed the Captain Sim B767-200 for a very reasonable sales price, and some paints.

The aircraft is modelled very well inside and outside and some of the liveries are first class.

Everything works and it flies well. The avionics are based on the Asobo 747 but it all works.

The FMC is not the most beautiful but works as well, I can do my flightplans as usual. One bug: It cannot calculate the final distance to the destination.

This is always too much while the distance to the next waypoints is ok. But I have to do more different approaches, will see.

Have shots from 2 flights here, had to interrrupt the first flight because of some nasty people from real life...🙂

The B767 is my favourite airliner in real life. CS did a nice job modeling this aircraft for MSFS...I don't know what happened to their development team...it seems to me they are only left with texture modelers...no one left at CS to actually work on flight dynamics and systems. I thought the P3D5 version (passenger variant) was actually really well done overall. Still...photos of the B767 always bring a smile to my face...thanks for sharing!

Very fine set of shots buddy !

cheers 😉

Thank you and perhaps you want to do a paint or two for the aircraft, old style Lufthansa for example, I couldn't find it.

There will be no default B767 in MS 2024, so it will last for longer.

Hello Andreas!

Unfortunately, CS no longer provides an "official" paint kit in MSFS, and, have also made their software so that third party paints will not display accordingly in MSFS.

Foolishly, I purchased the base 300 (pax) and the freighter through the marketplace...the freighter cockpit was modeled correctly...better than their P3D version! Unfortunately, painting is not an option and to be honest, I don't really enjoy flying this aircraft in MSFS...too unrealistic for my liking. She does look great though!

Many fond memories of flying the B767 in real life...including a trip on Air Canada in 1999...from CYYZ to CYVR...the flight was over-booked and Air Canada offered me an opportunity to ride in the jumpseat. (After 9/11, that would never happen again!)

Thank you for your explanation, so you cannot do it. I think the aircraft is overall ok in terms of flying, there are some minor bugs in the FMC

but the flight dynamics for me are ok, it works as usual. And the modelling inside and outside is really good.

Wow...the 767...Oh....the CS one...🙂...Just kidding, Andreas....

Lovely shots of the plane. Glad that you picked it up and shared here.  CS always did good textures work...BTW, when CS brought out their (original) 757/767, I used to be on their website daily...🙂...had participated in most of their step-by-step releases of such Boeing legacy jetliners...Good times indeed...that was their glory days...

Here is another developer that could not capitalize on the tremendous MSFS movement...feel sorry for them. They had contributed so much to my sim pastime...actually more so than the other premier developers of the day...

To be honest I don't agree with some simmers, I think the plane is underestimated. In the the marketplace it's rated 3.4

and I would make it a 4.2 or so.

I think as usual MS is working on taking it all over. And the developers who become "Microsoft partners" will have a good business.
