February 8, 200719 yr Take a look at this link:http://www.airnav.com/fuel/local.htmlIt can really vary. In Glendale, my home airport, it is in the 3.40's for self serve. Stellar Airpark in Chandler--about a twenty minute hop away, has 100LL for $3.20. At Sky Harbor it's in the $4.00+ range.-John
February 8, 200719 yr I have paid close to $5 a gallon in the southeast of the US for some reason-in the Midwest where I live it is $3-$3.20 a gallon.I always use airnav.com to plan for flights though and have stopped for gas recently in Mcinnville, Tenn. for $2.75 and Kennet, Ms. for $2.70 and this was around xmas time when the going rate was 3.70-4.40.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
February 10, 200719 yr >What's a gallon of avgas cost these days?the reason 100LL is so much more expensive is simply the fact that it is not in demand as much as jet A. fbo's jack the price of 100LL up as they'd rather sell 250 gallons of jet A at a time rather than 20 gallons of 100LL at a time.
