Hello,

I’m trying to fly the Cessna Longitude but can't engage AP. I’m flying this bird already with MSFS2020 and I do the same procedures with MS2024 ; flight stabilized, good rate of climbing, flight plan visible on the map and the computer, nav or not, ...

I wonder if some flight conditions do not allow the AP to be engaged.

I probably won't have 2024 installed until late January, but have you done the following:

• Activated TOGA before take-off?
• Activated Auto-Throttle before take-off?

Thanks for your help but no. I use Auto-Throttle only after take-off and TOGA while take-off. Did I do something wrong ?

Some other users do not have any issue with AP. It seems there is something to do with my config or my practice.

I should mention that I also make certain that the NAV is in FMS, initial altitude is set and that the AP is set to SPD mode.

I activate auto-throttle before beginning take-off as it takes throttle control totally out of your concern from the get-go and maintains proper control from take-off roll to 50' above the surface on final.

You simply advance the throttle fully and leave it there.

After departure, gear retraction, flap retraction and trim, I activate FLC, VNAV (and I also use HDG mode).  FLC and VNAV are especially important here in that the auto-throttle will instantly adjust power to maintain the proper speed for each segment of the flight and control climb rates.

Perhaps, a little difference with 2020. At this step, the difference with me, is the Auto-Throttle.

Also a random thought, on first use of MSFS2024 I noticed the APU start switch in the Asobo 737 kept flicking back and forth.....

I soon realised the Honeycomb Alpha start switch was mapped to this...short story is do you have any control mapping stopping you from activating the AP?

In order to test this case, I'm going to redo controller profiles from scratch and test.

Maybe it's too late as this is 19 hours later....but if you switch the controller filter to Assigned at the bottom you'll get all assigned mappings which could shorten your search for the possible culprit....and a number in a circle next the mapped function will tell you how many buttons are mapped to the one function.

Hello, thanks a lot : it works.

I did a first test with a profile without any AP controls and the AP worked when I clicked the button in the cockpit via the mouse.

I went back to my original profiles, I removed and put the AP command back on my throttle. Result : it works fine.

So, Thank you very much to all of you.

I can fly again with Longitude and MS2024.

I simply removed the mapping AP (no other was assigned) and I re did the mapping AP with the same button. That's all ...

I cant use Weight and fuel on G5000, is anyone else having the same issue?
Looks like the screen button is not working while all others don't have any issue ( Speed bugs, Landing data , take off data, etc. )
