December 19, 20241 yr Hi all, the flight is a bit sightseeing again because I wanted to see what msfs creates on the ground and it's all good. Very impressive looking around while flying. And this endless expanse without or very little settlement...quite unusual for someone who lives in Central Europe. Scenery is all default msfs and aircraft is the CS B767-200. Thank you very much for viewing! December 23, 20241 yr Beautiful ground imagery from MSFS 2020...Andreas. Not fully sure, but I am still, in my Xbox/MSFS2024, not seeing the type of terrain resolution I used to see in MSFS2020, could be something due to streaming, but others are indeed getting nice results...will continue to monitor my case... The Delta B767-200 looks lovely...I've travelled so much with Delta but never in their 767...My only 767 flight was with Air Canada on a short trip up north... Thanks for sharing this post and this aircraft...!
December 25, 20241 yr Author Thank you very much P_7878! There are a few problems with msfs2024 which do not exist in 2020 today. The internet bandwith must be higher, don't know yet how much. I have 50 mbit/sec and should be 100 mbit/sec at least. The hardware specs are much higher, I can run "Full HD" with 30 fps in 2020 and in 2024 I have reduced the settings to 80 % resolution. Beside this 2024 will need a lot more improvements in detail until it will become a superior successor of 2020. Just because of interest I've had a look at the Xbox. In the shop I found a "Xbox X series" which they praise to be the "fastest Xbox of all times". But if you look at the specs, compared with the machines some of the simmers run here, it's a low end computer, absolutely. The graphics can do 12 Terraflops which is approximately what a RTX 3060 can do. But: Simmers would not use a RTX 3060 for a new rig. At least a RTX 4060 which can do 22 Tflops. And the Xbox has only 16gb ram, not enough anymore, I have it in my old machine, not good. To be honest: I don't think that you'll ever be happy running 2024 on your Xbox except it's a special version of the Xbox which I don't know about. A PC with a new AMD Ryzen 7 or similar Intel, RTX 4060 TI and 32gb ram can do it perfectly with high settings running "Full HD" 1920x1080. For 4k resolution it will be more expensive. But I don't really think that it's needed, not sure about this so far. It's the big question regarding my next rig: 4k or Full HD, I can't decide it yet.
